Butt welding machines

Trim d.o.o. is the general representative of the German company “AUGUST STRECKER GmbH & Co. KG”, which has been present in the cable industry for more than 85 years as one of the world leaders in the production of butt welding machines. Strecker machines can be used for welding a wide range of materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, steel, titanium, stainless steel and other materials according to customer requirements, as well as various forms – round wires with diameters from 0.04 mm up to 60 mm, stranded conductors and flat profiles with cross-sections from 0.08 mm² up to 2.800 mm², copper tubes, strips, rings, etc.

Depending on the welding technology and process characteristics, two types of equipment are available:

  • Electric resistance welding machines (Butt Welding machines) and
  • Cold welding machines (using pressure without electric current or flux).

In addition to these technologies, Strecker also produces solutions for other welding processes, depending on the application requirements:

  • Resistance Spot Welding machines
  • Roller Seam Welding machines
  • TIG strip welding, with precise heat input control
  • Medium Frequency Welding machines
  • Pulse welding
  • Soldering

Therefore, Strecker welding machines are widely used not only in the cable industry but also in the metal processing industry, the automotive industry, tire production, the energy industry, and transformer production, etc., for welding wires, sheets, pipes, tapes, rings, etc.

When it comes to the most technologically demanding processes, where precise control of wire welding parameters is required to minimize the risk of wire breakage, machines are offered with a next-generation integrated software system (V-series controllers).

These systems enable real-time monitoring of the welding process and all critical parameters. Thanks to these controllers, the influence of the human factor on the welding process is reduced to a minimum, thereby significantly lowering the possibility of errors.
