Thermal transfer ribbons
Ribbon tapes, also known as thermal films or thermal transfer foils, are key printing consumables used for different applications and materials. The type of ribbon used depends on the substrate being printed on, which is why ribbons are divided into three main categories: WAX, WAX/RESIN, and RESIN.
WAX ribbons are ideal for standard printing on paper, while WAX/RESIN ribbons are a mid-range option with good smudge resistance, making them suitable for glossy and semi-gloss substrates.
RESIN ribbons offer the highest level of quality and are resistant to extreme conditions such as heat, chemicals, and scratches. They are therefore commonly used on plastics and flexible films.
These ribbons are compatible with all conventional printers and provide exceptional print quality, making them an ideal choice for demanding printing applications.
